Don't have to tell me. I dropped it at 4 and started skimming through episodes. It's just a bunch of girls going around doing shenanigans. Mobile game promotion is all it is, and should probably just not watch an adapted anime from a mobile game.

That explains the weird disconnect and the varying quality. Even the group behind BangDream has had one or two flops and they're the best anime out there based on mobile games, so it's not particularly surprising that yet another show that has promise but can't seem to ever deliver is based on a mobile game. They're highly popular in Asia so they keep getting anime adaptations but so many mobile games just don't adapt well (and there's already stigma against game stories being adapted to anime due to all the terrible romance anime based on games like Da Capo which chose the worst route to pursue).

princess connect got adapted pretty well too, cygames does a good job adapting their games into animes

I think we all know what this anime is trying to do with these two parallel plots -- one with the magic girls, and the other with the knights-- but after seven episodes, it's gone from making me feel like "oh, wow. I didn't see that coming, I wonder what's going on?!" To feeling like this whole thing is a complete mess. The tones of both these storylines kinda clash and don't really compliment each other. lt's very, very, jarring -- a lot like someone making a sudden left/right turn at break-neck speed.

Yeah.... I'm just going to start totally disregarding what happens in those ⚠️ WARNING ⚠️ sections and only pay attention to the girls who are the absolute personifications of moe! 🥰

Haha, no, it's still 95% fluff with an occasional minute or two of some mysterious nonsense about knights and rooting out heresy. Other than that, you can watch the girls do horrifying edgy stuff like... buy sweets! Clean! Run errands! Sniff things! Tease viewers who want to pretend everything is yuri!

So it's still cute and fluffy and wholesome. Definitely has not gotten dark, up through episode 7. Can't promise about the last five episodes, but you're good so far.

Still don’t understand how the two storylines can make sense. I skipped most parts where the slice of life bit was playing out. Did I miss anything? :o
